Hey Parents!
The week has been going good. And yes I did receive the package! Thank you so much šŸ™‚ It’s a pretty cool shirt. I am excited to wear it today.
I did not get the thing about the loan though. I don’t even know what to do with these people. I hate having to ask Pres. Anderson to take care of this crap. I feel like he is disappointed every time I ask.. šŸ˜¦ Is it so hard to just deffer the loan until I get home?.. sheesh!
Anyways. This week was pretty good. On Monday I got to go to Butterfly world which was awesome! I think I sent pictrues. On Tuesday we had an amazing trainging with Pres and Sis Anderson. It was about having a vision for your mission, being simple and direct, and being exactly obedient. Apparently there is a lot of talk from church head quarters about how obedient and successful our mission is. It’s cool to hear about. šŸ™‚ We are setting standards for missions all around the world. Yes. I do feel special to be apart of it. šŸ˜›
The training was awesome though. I loved that we have to have a vision for ourselves and our lives. It’s really neat how it plays into the mission. Just this transfer I have been able to understand the Atonement and the gospel better to be able to create a vision for my mission. I am still working on it but it is pretty cool. I also was able to see how much I have changed. I think it will be weird to come home. I don’t think you’ll recognize my personality as what it was before. As far as being direct and simple. Sometimes we make things complicated thinking that people will understand them because we do. Or that the more info we give people the better they will understand. But in reality it’s quite the opposite. People need things simple and direct. Lay all the cards out on the table and let them make a decision. It is much eaiser for them to understand when they have the simple basics. And we are always obedient…. and if we are not then we become exactly obedient. It’s the first law of heaven.
Anyways. It was a pretty awesome training. After the training we had lunch and I pretty much got to say good bye to all of my mission buddies who are leaving at the end of this transfer. It’s sad to see them go, but I am not far behind them. I only have like 3 transfers left… scary. It will also be weird because sister holladay goes home too.
Sis. Holladay and I get along just fine. She’s very different from all my other companions and is a little rough around the edges. She isn’t as forward as I am and not very outspoken. She is not as girly as me either. Which is strange Cause i am pretty sure that I was a tomboy. But we have had a lot of success. So i can’t complain.
So updates on investigators and recent converts.
Monique is dropped because she refuses to actually put forth effort to change. It has kinda broken my heart.
Shama and Louma Dufresne … well this is truly a heart breaker. Right after Louma’s baptism. Shama found an anti mormon website and pretty much broke my heart and told us not to come back anymore. I was pretty devestated. and it was worse cause sis beck wasn’t here.
But since we have found amazing people who want to get baptized and aren’t worried about anti mormon websites. Neina a freind of a member is super solid and can’t wait to be baptized. mario who wants to chnage is life. is workign hard to make sure he has sundays off so he can come to church and make that change. The Duplessy family loves eveything we share about the book of mormon and Ryan and Barbara are so awesome and love hearing about the plan of salvation.
We are also working really hard to get to know the members better and to use them mormon. So far so good. we have visited a ton of families!
Ok so your questions about most memorable family experiences.

I actually really like that trip a lot. um… 4th of july at the drive in movies and all of 4th of july really. making sopapillas so yummy. i remember along time ago when we lived in boston Mom seku and I watching gerneral conference on the computer on floor with blankets and mom trying to make pioneer dinner.. icky blueberry bread.. um.. watching the 24 hour marathon of A christmas story. mike letting me go shooting with all the young men. that was super cool. mom destroying bacon that she cooked in a pot and turned it into black and green goop that we had to hose down in the backyard. Playing big birtha even though mike would get mad at us for bending the rules. sunday night family games! thats whats on the top of my head right now.
